Join our team, here on the farm!

Work that grows more than food.

Interested in working for a place that actually makes a difference? At Homesteads for Hope, we’re not just growing produce — we’re growing community, inclusion, and purpose.

We’re a working farm with a social mission: to create meaningful opportunities for people of all abilities to learn, grow, and thrive. Whether it’s through hands-on programs, community events, or our sensory-friendly spaces, we believe everyone deserves a place to belong — and we work hard to make that a reality every day.

We’re looking for team members who are compassionate, curious, hardworking, and not afraid to get a little dirt under their nails. From seasonal farm hands and support staff to program leaders and creative thinkers, every role here has an impact.

This isn’t just a job — it’s a chance to be part of something bigger.

What we offer:

  • A mission-driven workplace rooted in inclusion and respect

  • Opportunities to grow your skills and passions

  • A beautiful outdoor environment (with chickens)

  • A team that works hard, laughs often, and celebrates small victories

Facilities Coordinator

The Facilities Coordinator is the point person for all that needs to be constructed, fixed, and maintained around the farm. Focused on the buildings and landscapes around the front of the property, they might make a dozen small repairs one day, then lead a workshop the next. This position is responsible for keeping the infrastructure in top shape, while gearing that work toward classes and lessons that can be taught in a group setting. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The ability to maintain tools and equipment, keep spaces clean, and develop systems of organization is strongly desired. Knowledge of carpentry and woodworking is a must. A love of the outdoors and maintenance of natural areas like the landscapes along the trees and canal is also a plus. The Facilities Coordinator both leads daily classes and works independently in a manner where they operate efficiently, meaningfully, and in alignment with the standards of Homesteads for Hope.

Retail Coordinator

The Retail Coordinator plays a key role in the success of the Homesteads for Hope Farm Store - our community’s “front door” and the first point of contact for many visitors, families, and supporters. Our small but vibrant farm store features sustainably grown produce from our fields, locally sourced fruits and goods, and artisanal items created by our students. This is where community members check in for programs, where Harvest Pass customers shop, and where visitors first experience our mission, values, and inclusive culture. It is the responsibility of the Retail Coordinator to take this setting and turn it into a classroom where skills are developed, to be the one behind the scenes making the store a place where the community can see the potential of the students come to fruition. On the business side, the Retail Coordinator is responsible for the full operational management of the farm store, including inventory oversight, product acquisition, vendor coordination, merchandising, and ensuring accurate transactions through the Square POS system. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain stock levels, track sales, support purchasing decisions, and verify all products are properly packaged, labeled, and displayed. The Retail Coordinator ensures the store operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with the standards and sustainability goals of Homesteads for Hope.

  • "Working in the gardens has been such an incredible experience for me. I absolutely love flowers—they’re so beautiful and delicate, each one unique in its own way. It’s amazing to see how nature works together, especially watching the bees busy pollinating and the butterflies fluttering everywhere. Being surrounded by all this beauty makes me feel so peaceful and connected to the world around me."

  • "I’ve always loved coming to the farm store to grab a beautiful, fresh bouquet, but now that I can come weekly alongside my CSA Food Share pickup, I’m thrilled! I get to choose my own floral arrangement and pick all the colors I love. I’m so excited for this new experience—it’s going to be the highlight of my week!"

  • "My son, who uses a wheelchair, loves participating in activities all over the farm, but there’s something truly special about the flower fields. While he may not be able to clip each flower himself, with the support of his staff, he gets to make choices and decisions—and the farm staff are absolutely wonderful. I encourage all families to consider this opportunity for their child. If we can do it—and we absolutely can—so can you. Just go for it, you won’t regret it!"

  • "We are so excited to bring this incredible experience to our community here at Homesteads and beyond! Everyone loves flowers, and while we often find ourselves at stores like Wegmans debating if a bouquet is a need or a want, here at Homesteads, you’re the one harvesting it fresh. As a participant, you’ll enjoy longer-lasting blooms, a creative opportunity to design your bouquet, and the support you need every single pick! When you create an experience around a WANT, it’s a no-brainer—get out here in nature’s classroom and get involved! I’m so proud of my team for making this happen—it’s going to be a smashing success!"
