Homesteads for Hope has been growing purpose on the banks of the Erie Canal for ten seasons now. This August, we gather on the farm to celebrate the life of the woman whose dream made all of it possible, co-founder Luann Brown, and the thousands of lives that have bloomed because she believed.

This August 28th, we're celebrating everything that has grown from those seeds. 

Set against the beautiful backdrop of the farm, the evening will feature a farm-to-table dinner, open bar, live music and dancing with The Swooners, live and silent auctions, a flower bar, and so much more. Whether you’ve been part of our journey for years or are just discovering Homesteads for Hope, we invite you to join us for a night of celebration, connection, and purpose.

  • Dress code is formal with floral accents.

    Celebrate the beauty of the season by incorporating florals into your formal wear. Think formal floral dresses, elegant floral pant suits, floral ties or pocket squares, and floral-patterned button-down shirts paired with dress pants. Attire should be polished and event-appropriate.

    We kindly ask no t-shirts, shorts, jeans, athletic wear, and/or other casual clothing for this event.

  • Yes — a full farm-to-table, family-style dinner is included, along with drinks, live music, and plenty of surprises.

  • Farmhouse Table is catering.


  • Yes—there will be plenty of vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options available. All allergens will be clearly labeled to help guests make informed choices.

  • This will be a seated, family-style dinner with platters served at each table. Unless you’ve purchased a sponsor table, seating will be open, you’ll be dining with friends, both new and old. Seating will not be assigned, so please be willing to make room for others and share a meal together.

  • Yes! We'll be celebrating on the farm both in our newly finished barn space as well under the stars, so dress for the weather and bring a light layer for the evening breeze.

    This event happens rain or shine unless there are extreme weather instances (in which case those who purchase tickets will be notified). We have a tent booked and the use of our barn space. The show will go on! 

  • Absolutely - as long as you purchase a ticket for them, everyone is welcome!

    Sponsors receive multiple tickets depending on their package, so if you'd like to bring a group and share a table, that’s a great option.

  • Yes, tickets are required. Once you register, you’ll receive an email confirmation.

  • There’s no need for a physical ticket, we can check you in by name at the door, or you can use the QR code provided in your confirmation email.

  • Yes, we have plenty of parking on site.

    Will there be signs or volunteers helping direct traffic? 

    We will have volunteers assisting with parking when you arrive. 

  • Have your ride-share driver drop you off in front of the farm store. 

  • We do have a golf cart if you need mobility support, please arrange this ahead of time with Nora, nora@homesteadsforhope.org.

  • Yes! Our farm is designed to be as accessible as possible—we have many friends in wheelchairs who participate in our programs and navigate the space with ease. Most areas have paved surfaces, but please note that dinner will take place on the grass, so plan accordingly for that terrain.

  • Yes! We have two ADA restrooms located off the farm store, and there will also be a restroom trailer with an ADA stall available during the event.

  •  The event will feature live music and large crowds, which may be stimulating for some. However, the farm is spacious with quiet areas where guests can step away and recharge as needed. We recommending taking a walk and saying hello to the goats if you need some space. 

  • Proceeds from the Harvesting Hope Gala help fund homesteads for hope programs, services, classes, and events.

  • Yes we will have and open bar with Beer, Cider, Wine, and lots of N/A options.

  • Yes, the whole auction takes place online including checkout. We can arrange pick-up of your item at a later date if you need. You don't even need to attend to participate in the silent auction.
