Blue Jean Ball
An Evening Rooted in Purpose
We are delighted to invite you to a meaningful and elevated evening of celebration and community at Homesteads for Hope’s Annual Blue Jean Ball — held at our beautiful Community Farm along the scenic Erie Canal.
This beloved event gathers families, neighbors, volunteers, and local leaders for a shared purpose: to support Homesteads for Hope’s mission of empowering adults with disabilities through meaningful work, learning, and belonging in Nature’s Classroom. Thanks to your generous support, we’ve raised over $100,000 annually — fueling inclusive opportunities that change lives.
This year’s Blue Jean Ball will be especially memorable as we celebrate the successful completion of our Pave the Way Campaign, and honor the remarkable accomplishments of our apprentices. Together, we’ve planted seeds of hope, and now it’s time to gather and reflect on all that’s grown — and all that’s still to come.
So slip into your finest “farm chic” — polished denim, sundresses, collared shirts, boots that shine — and join us for an unforgettable night under the stars. Expect live music, a family-style farm-to-table dinner, drinks at the watering hole, our Square Roots gallery show and art sale, and a lively silent auction — all in celebration of a more inclusive, compassionate future.
Your presence supports more than an event — it helps us grow a movement. Together, we’re creating a world where individuals of all abilities are empowered to live with dignity, purpose, and joy.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Think “farm chic” — polished denim, button-downs, flowy dresses, and boots with a little shine. This is a relaxed yet refined affair. No tuxes needed — but let’s leave the gym shoes and graphic tees at home.
-
Farm chic attire balances rustic charm with elegance, featuring breathable fabrics like linen and cotton in floral or earthy tones, paired with comfortable, practical footwear like block heels or wedges, and complemented by natural accessories. For women, consider flowy midi dresses, ruffled details, or a sophisticated skirt and blouse, while men can opt for chinos or dress pants, a button-down shirt, and a sport coat or vest, potentially with cowboy boots for a truly rustic touch.
Feminine
-Dresses: Choose light, flowy fabrics such as chiffon or cotton in floral, nature-inspired patterns or earthy tones. Midi or maxi lengths with details like ruffles or lace are perfect.
-Separates: A skirt and blouse combination or nice black jeans with a dressy top can also work well.
-Footwear: Prioritize comfort over stilettos. Block heels, wedges, or even stylish boots (like cowboy boots) are ideal for navigating uneven surfaces.
-Accessories: Chunky silver jewelry, gold, a denim or leather jacket, or a delicate lace overlay can enhance the rustic aesthetic.Masculine
-Tops: A long-sleeve or short sleeve button-down shirt.
-Bottoms: Chinos, dress pants, or clean, non-ripped jeans are suitable choices.
-Layers: A sport coat, a leather vest, or a tailored blazer adds sophistication while fitting the theme.
-Footwear: Leather shoes, or clean cowboy boots, are great options for the rustic environment.
-Accessories: A bolo tie can add a unique rustic touch -
