The Dream, Renderings of the Future
These are photos of the future Homesteads for Hope that were illustrated by Mr. Gary Rodgers local to Rochester, NY. He helped the Founding family distinguish what the dream of Homesteads could be with the farm they had eyes set on for years.

Sam Maloney, at the time was a young boy the age of 12 who has an incredible gift that spurred from his ability with autism. An early Homestead Family member, he took beautiful Snapshots of the Future Farm - before we even owned it, just a weekend of exploration witha family.
1st Volunteer Cleanup - Labor Day Weekend 2016
These are photos that show the before of the orginal farm property. Volunteers joined together only 1 week of the reveal of purchasing the new farm as Homesteads for Hope. Almost 200 people came together to clean the grounds throughout 55 acres and the barns where we found new floors, ceilings and walls that were unveiled after the cleanup.

2016 Farm Tour & Tasting - October 13, 2016
These are photos of first annual VIP Farm Tour & Tasting to be able to show our mission, vision and future to community members who have the capacity to make it happen. We were able to pull this event off within one and half months THANKS to the community and volunteers.
Harvest Family BBQ - October 15, 2016
These are photos of first annual Harvest Family BBQ an event that was open to families and was a inclusive event that was a SHOCK for Homesteads family and volunteers - we had over 200 people attened and put a pinch on parking, food, pumpkins, etc. BUT we adpated and it was a great event.
4th Volunteer Cleanup in February 2017
We had beautiful 56° weather this day! Cleaned out the market stand, dismantled a barn and cleaned out the Estate Home! Found lots of memorabilia to include in museum and looking forward to incorporating salvaged wood back into the property!
February 2017 Tree Removal
Thank you to Frank Maltabano Tree Service & Josh Brongo's Tree Service - 2 local business owners and their crew members for coming out this beautiful February to clean up trees around the farm property! A majority of the trees had to be removed for safety purposes - a few trees were entwined in power lines so we needed this issue fixed ASAP! 2 different companies coming together, working hard as a team for the good of the community!
First Annual Canalside Fishing Derby June 24, 2017
Saturday June 24th - over 50 people attended the Fishing Derby on the Erie Canal at the Homesteads Farm. Over 30 Fish were caught / released and 6 winners took home prizes! Thank you to our volunteers, community & sponsors for making this a family hit!
Wegmans Volunteer Day June 28, 2017
15 volunteers from Wegmans Brockport Store joined us at the farm to do beautification, greenhouse work and field planting! Great day, new friends and we grew HOPE! And obviously breakfast & lunch was amazing!
2017 Farm Season, Programs & Students
Homesteads launched the first official season at the new farm in 2017. Programs with students started in May when the weather finally was on our side and continues now into the weather months.
2017 Eagle Scout Projects
Homesteads had the honor of working with 5 scouts going after their eagle merit. The following were projects performed:

- 10 Heavy Duty Picnic Tables
- 10 Trail Boxes
- 4 Accessblie Garden Boxes
First Annual Jam on the Canal: Music & Food Festival
On Saturday August 5th, 2017 Homesteads hosted the first annual Jam on the Canal Event which was heavily sponsored and had a great turnout! All musicians were donated and it was a great time had by all. Join us next year!
Frederico Demoltition, Estate Home Unveiling
The Brick Estate Home is an orginal 1871 structure located on the wide waters of the Erie Canal on Manitou Road. The white addition was put on years after and was deteriorating significantly. Our friends at Frederico Demolition donated their services to remove the addition and get us back to the basics. A new addition and full re-model is in the plans for 2018.
Harvest for Hope: A Celebration of Growing Abilities - October 19, 2017
Harvest for Hope is our new annual celebration of growing abilities at the farm! This year we had special friends from Gallina Development Corp. as our hosts & Generous Sponsorship with Wegmans with a event for 150 people who were new to the farm! It was an amazing fall evening - Thursday October 19th and YES the weather cooperated!
Harvest Family BBQ: October 21, 2017
October 21st, 2017 on a beautiful 75 degree day over 250 attendees of all walks of life joined for an amazing event! Amazing BBQ prepared by volunteers, harvest fun like hayride, pumpkin picking, face painting and canal side games and LIVE music! Great day!
Mobile DMV Day @ Homesteads June 2, 2018
Co-Founder, Luann Brown thinks full circle when it comes to our special needs population. She wanted to ensure that all people, of all ages and abilities have a NYS ID Card - regardless of being a Driver. This is so important - so a mom made sure we brought this idea and ease to the community, a first of its kind. Thanks Luann! & we shall do this again - thank you for the hundreds of people coming out - many new faces. Also - Biggest thanks to NYS Mobile DMV Unit for listening and responding to a desperate need! We shall do this again! #PavingtheWay
Xerox Day of Caring 2018
Joined by 20 volunteers from Xerox to groom canalside garden beds, greenhouse planting, build a new expanded garden and much more! 1 hour of rain didn't hold this crew back!
Frontier Field 4th of July, 2018
Homesteads for Hope Crew spent 4th of July at Frontier Field which was Generously donated by Wegmans!! It was a great day & night and our own Mikey M. through out the first pitch!
Brockport Wegmans 7.18.18 Volunteer Day
Here it is! Featuring Before & After's with ladies from Brockport Wegmans as they took on some Canal Side Improvements & FUN! They painted 3 checker boards and 2 TikTac Toe boards on the Canal Side Picnic Tables (formerly built by an Eagle Scout) - We landscaped around 2 NEW lawn ornaments - Jenny Brongo's broken JD Tractor and former owner Robert Brongo's Old Boat! Only 1 day later did students from Edison Tech & Farm Club folks scavenge hunt for rocks to paint for the boards - and everyone got photos by the tractor! Thanks Wegmans - See you again in August Interested Community Members came out to the Farm to learn more about the Vision & Hope for the Future - We sat by the canal for the presentation and then we walked around the farm for a tour of the developing facilities.

Camp Smile at H4H 2018
On Monday we enjoyed around 50-60 wonderful individuals from Camp Smile on our farm. We used all of our best senses to find vegetables, animals, and fun activities around H4H. Some of the members of Camp Smile even shared first time experiences like tasting spearmint, holding a chicken, and even playing a game of corn hole! It was a pleasure to have them around for a fun, farm experience.

Yesterday at the Homestead, a wonderful group of volunteers from Wegmans were the sunshine on our rainy day! They arrived bright and early, and worked tirelessly all day to help us build on to our vision! Autism. Putting the Pieces Together
On December 5th, Jennyrae Brongo joined a group of incredible, self advocating people on the Autism Spectrum, and Senator Robach to share stories and experiences of what it's like to live with autism, from feelings of loneliness and despair, struggling to make and keep friends, to happiness and unbridled pride in talents that come with having autism. Special thanks to Dalton Letta - Autism Ambassador, for giving Jennyrae the opportunity to speak on behalf of her brother, Chucky Brongo at this ground breaking forum.
Homesteads for Hope now has a winter bowling league. Thank you Spencerport Bowl for making it possible...we're having a blast!
